2023 Branson Flags

2023 Branson Veteran's Celebration Week

Nearly 100 flags wave in a gentle breeze as residents and visitors drive along the Avenue of Freedom on Gretna Road. For more than ten years, the flags have welcomed veterans and reminded all Americans of the sacrifices of those who protected our freedoms. If you ever took a moment to reflect on the beauty and symbolism of the Avenue of Freedom, I’m sure you mentally said a “thank you” to our active duty military and a “welcome home” to our veterans.

The City of Branson flies American Flags on  "The Avenue of Freedom", between
July 1, 2023 and November 21, 2023, on behalf of whomever sponsors the flags.

They ask for $100 donation for each flag that is flown, to help cover the costs of hosting
Branson's Veteran's Celebration Week.

I gave a donation of $200 to the City of Branson, for flags to be flown in honor of:
The 435th OMS Enroute Maintenance Reunion Group
The Rhein Main Air Base Reunion Group

Today (November 27, 2023), I was notified by the City of Branson:
The city has taken down the flags and I have the two flags with certificates.
As soon as we get the certificates in frames, I'll be sending them to Mr. Miller.

Thank You from the City of Branson, for hosting these American Flags on the "Avenue of Freedom".
