THE BIG AAGA FIRE
From:
"Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta, Inc."
To:
As many of you are probably aware, on Wednesday, March 5th, Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta suffered a massive fire in which the home burned to the ground. Luckily, all of the Greyhounds were saved, along with a portion of their adjoining living quarters, and all are safe and being well-cared for. Ultimately, the entire complex will have to undergo major reconstruction, but we at least got electricity (per generator), phone, and Internet restored to the remaining structure.
We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of offers to help. Frankly, the #1 need is money. If you would like to make a donation, you may do so through our PayPal Account. (See our website at www.greyhounds2.org.)
Alternatively, a special account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank. Donations should be made to: Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta - A/C#1348111269. Please write "DONATION" on your check. Donations can be taken direct to any Wells Fargo Bank or mailed to: AAGA, 4815 Annistown Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. Any amount, no matter how small, will go far in helping us recoup from this devastating loss.
We are, of course, a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax deductible.
For those who might be interested, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/262860353894721/ or http://tinyurl.com/odu7882, there is currently going on a "Greyhound Auction", with all proceeds coming to AAGA. (There is a lot of really neat "stuff" available there to bid on!)
