I've been busy since HS. Went to Chico State University and then Brigham Young University. Transfered BYU credits to Chico State and graduated in December 1983. Got married to Casey Muehle (met at BYU) in August 1983. From 83-87 lived in San Diego while Casey went to medical school at UCSD. From 87-92 lived in Madison Wisconsin for Casey's internship and residency. In '92 moved to Charlottesville, Virginia (UVA) for one year for Casey's fellowship. We moved to Springfield, Illinois in July of '93 and have lived here ever since. Jake is in mechanical engineering at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Drew is working in Provo and Orem, Utah at Babies R Us and in credit refinancing. Claire is at Brigham Young University (Provo, UT) in the photography program. Emma is in her senior year in HS and has been accepted into BYU for the fall semester. She doesn't know what she wants to do. :o)
We live on 21 acres in Springfield. The property has a 2 acre pond and an old barn (and NO...we don't live in the old barn!) We have two cock-a-poo dogs named Gatsby and Chaucer. And we have 3 cats named Hazel, Winston and Ophelia.
We'll be empty nesters this fall. I've always been excited about this, but as the time draws nearer...I'm beginning to wonder just what the heck I'll do with myself with all my kids gone and my husband at work most of the time.
I love to paint, sew, quilt, cross-stitch, needlepunch and work with wool. I'm a political junky and I'm addicted to talk radio. I collect antique sewing items, yellowware, antique furniture, advertising, fruit jars and just about anything else.
