Where was I 5 years ago for the 10 year reunion? Time seems to fly by whether you are paying attention or not. After graduating I wanted out of Cedar so moved with my family to St. George (I know, huge move ... right?!?!?). I received my Associates Degree from Dixie College and then couldn't figure out what I wanted to do after that. So I then attended and graduated from a Medical Technology school. I went to work for IHC Rehab as a PT/OT and Speech Aide. I even went and certified as an Aquatic Therapy aide (which I LOVED). After working there 3 years and being very involved in my Student Ward at Dixie (served as Relief Society Pres). I met my VERY tall husband (6'4"), Jared Hall. He thought I was a stuck up snob, but in my defense our height difference is the reason I couldn't hear him say "hi". A year or so later our group of friends merged and he gave me a second chance to prove I was NOT stuck up. We fell in love at the San Francisco bridge and then snowboarded together with friends in Tahoe. We married on Sept 11th, 1999 ... yep our 2nd Anniversary was spent in an airport (such a devastating day). Just a month after tying the knot, we ran the St. George Marathon (I lost 4 toenails, yeah)... come to find out that exercise is a passion of mine. I also worked for the Washington County School District in their Developmental Preschool, aiding the Speech therapist before we ended up moving to Arizona for school and liked it enough to buy a home. Before my children I worked for DR Horton in their Land Acquisitions Dept. My husband puts up with all my crazy antics and indulges my travel cravings (ie. Paris last Spring). We have been in AZ for a little more than 8 years (go D-backs), had 3 beautiful children, and made such wonderful friends. But, life wouldn't be interesting if unexpected turns of events never happened ... so my husband was laid off from his job after 6 years and working high up in the company (got to love this economy). He applied EVERYWHERE and landed a job in Salt Lake City, UT of all places. I never imagined living in UT again, but I believe the Lord places us where he wants us. Seriously though, my blood has thinned out tremendously from living in the desert that temps in the 50's is jacket weather. Good thing I recieved a heavy winter coat for Christmas. So at this moment I'm doing the "single parent" thing while my husband is working in UT and looking for a good location to settle. I fly out tomorrow to look at possibilities ... it's going to be so cold, well compared to 80 degrees here (got to love AZ winters). Oh, my, I'm rambling on and on and on. But to finish up, I love my children, my adoring husband, teaching piano and in short, my life!
