I was hired by the Miami-Dade County Florida Public School System in the fall of 1982. I have worked as a 6-12 grade mathematics teacher, mathematics department chair-person , technology mentor, coordinating teacher for student interns and adjunct college professor at Miami Dade, FL Community College. Upon accepting the teaching position, I immediately started graduate school at Nova University, Florida in which I graduated with a master's of science degree in mathematics, 1984. I continued the quest for higher education by obtaining the Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S) in mathematics education, 1995 with certification in school administration (all levels). I'm currently in the Capella University (on-line) Doctor of Philosophy program (Ph.D) in educational administation. I expect to graduate in the summer of 2010.
