George Rogers Clark High School
Class Of 1974

Welcome to the George Rogers Clark High Class Of 1974 web site. Check back often & don't forget to tell our classmates about this site!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Fellow Pioneer,

Can you believe that we have reached our 50th anniversary year of graduating from George Rogers Clark High School, way back in 1974!

For all of us high school was our way of life for a solid four years.  In those years we were at the forefront of adventure, discovery and development that eventually defined what the 70’s were all about!  We were the leaders of an era!

We played sports, sang in choirs, participated in clubs, went to dances, attended and maybe contributed in classes, experienced the right of passage into adulthood (commonly referred to as Prom), worked on the Pioneer News or Powder Horn, played an instrument in band or orchestra, cheered on squads or shook pons, acted in dramatic and comedic plays ordanced and sang through a musical, went to football and basketball games, rallied for Homecomings,  attended Winter Formals, received detentions, reported to school freshmen year during the teacher’s strike just to be counted, ditched school, hung out on street corners, drove endlessly around town for no reason at all, got our first jobs and marveled at all the opportunities that were ahead of us in the future.

Adjusting to this time in our life, with an immense array of choices to make was difficult.  We made them, some good some bad, we learned from both, but there is no denying it was an experience we will never forget.

As we grow older, we are consistently reminded of these formidable years, even bombarded by this past with the hundreds of movies and books produced and written about what ismost commonly referred to as “The Best Years of Our Lives”.  As we watch these shows or read these books we are reminded of the years, the fun, the trouble, the hard work, the angst, the friendships, the pranks, the loves, the deep discussions and the never ending party (at least to our class) that our high school years were all about.

It’s time for us to party again!  We need to come together to rekindle the memories of those awesome years and to learn about what has happened to each other since the 10 year reunion and graduation.  We need to Celebrate!

A group of fellow classmates have been working tirelessly on providing all of us with an opportunity to come together, not with just a reunion, but with a reunion weekend jam packed with various activities …so that we can reminisce, visit with old friends, discover what significant events unfolded in one another’s lives, and even what the future might hold.

We really hope you can attend and celebrate with us.  Looking forward to seeing each of you!
