What I remember most about Prospect:
1.) The music room
2.) Russian class
3.) lots of great electives, like Comparative Religions
4.) Summer school American History class - best ever
5.) Laughing all the time with Billie Jean Uhle

What I remember most about high school was the Godspell Company, which included people from a lot of high schools. The show had just opened in Chicago in '72, and we knew the guy who was playing Jesus at the Studebaker Theater downtown. He gave us dozens of free tickets for box seats so we could get all the details down correctly, then met us after many of the shows and narrated the entire script into a tape recorder for us. We gathered about 50 people from music rooms around the region (John Battaglia on the drums, Dave Farley and many more terrific musicians), and performed all through the school year across the midwest. Great road trips! We all still stay in touch and see each other when we can. I still miss one of my best friends, Chris Corporon (PHS '74), who shared the lead with John Cooper (PHS '73). Chris died in a car accident in '81.

I worked long hours in part time jobs, and participated in a lot of activities outside of PHS. I learned a lot about how the world works by closing down Big Boy as a hostess at 1 am on school nights, but I probably should have had more sleep and studied more.

That I have an MBA in finance, since I was a bit of a hippie

Studied in France for a year. Traveled all over the world for P&G doing finance work for 20 years. Bought and sold companies, led global audit teams, and went to business meetings in the Egyptian pyramids with belly dancers.... which made me realize it was time to retire from the world of corporate excess.

It is more fun to have my own company now, doing work that is deeply meaningful to me and growing a lasting business.
