before he PCS'd to Pope AFB, NC in the mid-80's.

Ronnie Clinard Peoples, 74, of Windsor, beloved husband of Joyace (Dennis) Peoples, died peacefully on Wednesday, (May 15, 2013), at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 22, 1938, in Nashville, TN, son of the late Joseph Henry Clinard Peoples and Lillian Cash Peoples. Ronnie graduated from Tennessee State University, was commissioned in the United States Air Force in 1961 and flew combat missions in Vietnam. He later earned a Masters from Auburn University. He was an accomplished Air Force pilot with over 5000 career flying hours. Col. Ronnie Peoples retired from the Air Force in 1991 and went on to become the Director of Safety at Kaman Aerospace Corporation in Bloomfield, until his retirement in 2002. Ronnie was an avid golfer, a life-time member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and a member of Sigma Pi Phi Beta Tau Boule. Ronnie will be remembered by family and friends as a strong man who lived by his own motto personifying "Common Sense, Sound Judgment and a Touch of Class." Along with his wife Joyace of 52 years, he leaves a son, Ronaldo Clinard Peoples II of St. Louis, MO, daughters, Kymberli Peoples-McKay (James) of Orlando, FL and Cynthia Peoples-Hobson (Michael) of Windsor, a sister, Shirley Peoples of Windsor, grandchildren, London McCullom, Vaughn Peoples-Hobson and Asa Peoples-Hobson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William Henry Dennis III (Lillie), Velma Otey (Inman), Sheila William and Carlotta Ballard (Hayden) and other family members and friends. He was predeceased by two sisters-in-law, Pamela Henderson and Ewania Dennis.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 10:30 a.m.-12 Noon, at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 12 Noon with burial and Military Honors to follow in Windsor Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067, in the name of Ronnie Peoples.
