Mack Phillips, 79, of Apopka, Florida passed away on April 14, 2015 after a long 22 month battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Helga Phillips, and 6 children, Vickie, Howard, Siegfried, Nancy, Linda and Natalie, as well as 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mack was raised in a family with 8 other siblings, Louise, Nadine, Archie, Imogene, Herbert, 3 of which are surviving, Preston Jr., Voncille and Sybil. Most of Mack’s life was devoted to serving the country’s military. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Active Duty member for 26 years, followed by 21 years as a Civil Service member. He was very proud of his military service and the men and women whom served their country and even kept up with it after his retirement. Mack was also a very proud member of the Freemasons and Shriners. Mack enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2015 starting at 6pm, at the Apopka Baldwin Fairchild Chapel, with a Viewing following the Service.
