Take exit 69, Denison, and the hotel is just north of Braums, east of Hwy 75, just in case your GPS says it’s on the west. It's brand new and 100% Smoke Free. They have an indoor pool, hot tub, and a workout center. 30 rooms are available to us from 6/11/10 to check-out on 6/13/10. You must book the room prior to May 28 in order to be guaranteed the discounted price of $75.99. Rooms normally start at $99.00, so the discount price is a great deal. The name you need to provide to the Hotel when booking is Class of 69/70 Reunion to ensure that you get the conference room rate. The cancellation policy for the rooms is at least 24 hours notice.

We have reserved the meeting room, bar and breakfast area at the Best Western Texoma Hotel and Suites for an informal meet & greet. (A GREAT REASON TO BOOK A ROOM HERE!)
The schedule we’ve planned:
3:00-6:00 pm, you may check in at the SHS registration table, pick up your name tag, and visit with classmates.
6:00-10:00 pm, we will have heavy hors d’oeuvres, margaritas, beer, bottled water, and soft drinks. Because we’re serving beer and margaritas, we won’t be able to bring minor children and grandchildren to this party. Our very own Betty Booher Plocharczyk will be DJ’ing the event.
Cost for the party is $15.00 per person if paid by check,
$15.78 (We have to cover processing fees) per person if paid by credit card through our shswebsite- paid in advance and non-refundable.

Space may be limited, so make your reservations and payments as soon as possible. We’ll be keeping a spreadsheet with this information. If necessary, we might have to announce a “full house” and stop accepting reservations.
SATURDAY, JUNE 12
From 10:00 am until noon, the Sherman Ex-Student’s Association Museum will be open. You will be amazed with the memories it brings back! The museum displays Athenians from just about every graduation class, all kinds of pictures, awards, plaques, Hi Talks, letter sweaters and jackets, and much more. It is located in the SISD administration building-120 W King (Old High School/Piner Jr. Hi) lower floor. Front doors will not be open; west and east doors will be open. Park on the east side of the building.
Dennis Reeves and Wayne Wilbanks are organizing a golf tournament at Stone Creek Country Club, 2200 Clubhouse Drive, Sherman - www.stonecreekcc.com. Green/cart fee will be $30.00 per person. Play will begin at 10:00 am. Dennis, Wayne, and Steve Gentry will be at the course to sign everyone in. If anyone has a preference for a golfing partner or foursome, it would be helpful to have that info in advance. Contact Dennis or Wayne to register and get more information. Registrations must be in by May 31.
Mike Covington has invited “riders” (those of you who have motorcycles) to meet at Loose Wheels at 11:00 am for a bit of a visit, and maybe a brisket sandwich or something for lunch. Then, make a trip out around Lake Texoma, getting back in time to clean up for the reunion.
On Saturday evening, June 12, we’re meeting at Loose Wheels in Denison – www.loosewheelstexas.com. It’s a fun, casual restaurant/bar with a live band. Since the club is open to the public, we suggest you get there early to ensure a parking space. The cover charge is $5.00 per person and you will be asked to show an ID. Our party starts at 6:30 pm. Please check-in at the SHS registration table and pick up your name tag. You may, at your own expense, order food and drinks from their menu.
Betty Booher Plocharczyk, ’69, will be our photographer for class pictures. Graduates of ’69 will have a group picture made at 7:00 pm. Graduates of ’70 will have their group picture taken at 7:30 pm. Don’t be late!!!
Loose Wheels, Texas as a private club will serve as your oasis in a dry county. No surprise to you, members must be at least 21 years of age and will be required to produce a valid driver’s license and be willing to abide by club rules and local laws.
Loose Wheels, Texas is located in North Texas one hour north of Dallas and 2.5 hours from Oklahoma City. From Highway 75 take Exit 65 and go East on Hwy 691. Less than a minute from the exit, the first road is Pool Rd, turn North. Near the end of Pool Rd on the East side, there are two large entrance gates to Loose Wheels, Texas.
