Merna Riley DesVignes

I initially had a career in Nursing, having done my studies at Kingston School of Nursing, University Hospital of the West Indies Midwiferey School and UWI Mona Department of Nursing Education. I worked at Linstead Hospital and University Hospital. I then did my Masters in Human Resource Development and migrated to Trinidad and Tobago in 2000.

In Trinidad and Tobago I worked as Lecturer, Human Resource Manager, and then Chief Executive Officer of Health. I now work as Director, Human Resource at the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad where I also lecture in the Nursing Department in the areas of leadership and management and Clinical Governance. I also function as motivational speaker

I am currently pursuing my doctoral studies in Health Administration at the University of Phoenix.
Over the years, I have been enjoying the joys of motherhood. Both children are now grown and in Medical school, the girl in fourth year and the boy in first year.
