1960, Since I graduated the year before all of you, I was working at Monticello College for the Director of Admissions making a whole $200 a month for typing every letter for the Director on a typewriter and now they have computers. What a life.
Got married in 1961 and was a stay at home mom all of my married life raising 4 children. I did exactly what I wanted to do with my life, be a wife and a mother.
Enjoyed my high school years because of all the friends I made. Those very same friends came last year to our 50th reunion and what a great time we had. If any of you are thinking that maybe you will not go to your 50th, it will be the biggest mistake of your life. We all wished our reunion had lasted longer. We really didn't get enough time to talk to everyone. The memories flowed throughout the evening and all you could hear was laughter. Go and see all of your old friends. Life is good. Cindy

Ralpha, I am so upset with Randy'spassing. I had sent you a message on Face Book but you may not have gotten it. The special things
that have been said by his classmates will mean alot to you and your children. Please take care and know your friends are near. You were the cutest couple and always looked so happy. Randy was a special person that loved you??

This is such a shock to me. Carolyn cheerlead with me and we did a lot of things together during high school. What a nice person she was. Perry Coon's described her perfectly. The big smile and always happy. So glad she touched my life. I sure didn't know she lived in Jerseyville. So close we lived to each other and never saw one another in the last 10 years. A lesson to all of us to reach out and tell those people that mean alot to you how much you enjoyed their friendship. I loved her like a sister. Cindy Kodros Garvey
Tears ran down my face as I just read Laura's obituary. What this poor girl endured on a daily basis was so cruel. I would always smile at her and eventually she would raise her head and smile back. Does the word BULLYING sound familiar? Well from her obit it looks like she proved to the world who she was to be. The love of her husband and family had to be the most precious gift she ever received. Her best friend was the second gift for Laura. She will always be remembered by me with the shy sheepish smile she would give me but she knew I liked her. She made me feel good and probably didn't realize how that made me feel happy. Shubert was a gentleman even at the high school age. He didn't know how handsome he was. That was the thing I liked best about him. May his family know that he was so well respected by the people that worked with him at Owes-Illinois and his school mates from Alton High School.
I'm not going to lie, I have lost a very good friend. Judy and I would joke that we shared the same baby crib because like my cousin, Bill Kodros, said we all thought we were family. She was one in a million and will miss her. She was so proud of her boys, wives, and her 4 precious granddaughters. She went from music competitions to Khoury League ball games, to taking all 4 girls and spending a day in St Louis. They loved being with grandma. We all can say that we are lucky she touched our lives and I hope the great memories of her will never leave. If you get a Chance listen to the song Dancing In The Sky by Dani and Lizzi. I happened to hear it the day Judy died and I cried. It's a beautiful song. Bless you Judy.
I had talked with Pat five years ago while tracking down her brother, Mike's, address for our 50 th reunion at that time. It was like picking right up where we left off in high school. She was very happy married to Dr.Slezak and said her life was going well. We laughed about an incident that had happened to both of us as cheerleaders at the Pontiac Basketball Tournament. So glad our parents never found out about it. ? I am so glad that she touched my life and saddened for her family without this lovely lady.
