Shanda Blackwell Hurt

I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Psychology degree in 1995. I married Chris Hurt in Dec. 1995. I have worked for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Texas Panhandle Mental Health Authority, and The Bair Foundation. Since having children, I have worked part time at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church as Children's Minister and currently at a Mother's Day Out called Sonshine School at First Baptist Frisco. My husband is a youth minister at FBC Frisco and also has a comedy/drama ministry called Hurt and Manley (hurtandmanley.com). Life is never dull!

It's just funny how cool we all thought we were! One funny memory was "trunk driving" with Shelly Jackson, Leslie Frith and Gretchen Hare. We were such dorks!

As much as I loved being in high school at the time, I would not want to do it again!!! I can honestly say, I don't have many regrets.

I mostly babysat during high school. My first job after AHS was Rex's Chicken on Paramount. They had the best fry bread!
