Juanita Young Obituary

Juanita Young, age 74, of Athens, known to everyone as "Sis", passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Doctor's Hospital, Columbus, after a short illness with family at her side.

Born Aug. 27, 1944 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late George and Kathleen Condiff Young.  Sis worked many years at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, but was most happy taking care of her family.

Sis is survived by a sister, Martha Gilkey of Darwin, who loved her deeply; her very loved sister in law, Lita Young of Athens; her nieces and nephew that she raised and loved as her own in her home, Kathy (Jim) Soule of Houston, TX, Janice Lynn (Rusty) Tinkham of Cheshire and Marlene (Baker) Mitchell of Wilmington, NC, and Jeff (Candi) Bush of Athens; many other nieces and nephews, that all had special places in her heart; an aunt, Betty Brown of The Plains; many close friends; and a special friend and her aide for many years, Judy Secoy.

Beside her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Young and Janice Bush; a brother Merrill "Bussie" Young; and many aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 23 ^rd at 2:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, with Pastor Roger Hayes officiating.  Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday 12:00 noon until time of service.  Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register book at www.jagersfuneralhome.com.
