This is a beautiful tribute posted on 7/15/2021 by Chrissy's husband Wayne on their Facebook page...

It is hard to find a place to begin…after 30 years of marriage I lost my adoring and beautiful wife at 3:40 this morning. For almost a full 7 years she endured a walk that I now know that I wish no one to walk and have the same outcome. Almost 7 years ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer and even after an immediate and almost 6 hour surgery to remove the tumor and other suspect areas, even at that time we were told she wouldn’t live more than 2 years….but I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me 7 more years with her.. Her journey began in the 2nd year of our ownership at Great Harvest and because of that, many of you knew of her journey and many of you have not. I have been more than Blessed to of had my sons, my daughter and an incredible staff that has allowed me the opportunity to attend every single Dr appointment for 7 years. I never missed a moment with her and I never had to leave her side. You may not have seen her much at the bakery as Chrissy was a Godly serving and family loving mama that homeschooled our 2 oldest sons and continued to homeschool our daughter. Her heart was wrapped around being a mother that nurtured, taught, encouraged and show by example the love of a mother that came from the Heart of our Heavenly Father. So many are already asking what they can do and we are overwhelmed by your love. The only thing that I can say or speak of is to please continue to love and support us at Great Harvest Bread co as so many of you already do. Please don’t be afraid to come in, we may just need a hug and may still need to cry..So be sure to visit often and bring your smiles and your warmth to the bakery. I have been absent from the bakery so much especially more during the last almost year and recent 6 months while I cherished every moment, not ever giving in to having an end, only taking every moment to love my wife. To all of you I am so grateful. Too all of our friends and family in Florida, we love and miss you all! Theres not enough room here to say we love you enough… Above everything we do please remember this, God remains Faithful, God is Good and His Mercies are New every morning. Make and keep Jesus center of your life and in your families life. Bless the Lord at all Times and In Everything Give Thanks! We Love You all..Wayne, Coy, Cline and Cadence
