For almost 5 years I kept the obituary in my wallet and I would pull it out from time to time to remind me of her smile and laugh. Anytime I would think I couldn't do something I would think of her and how her life was taken way to early and I needed to do things in her honor! She was a talented young lady on the volleyball court and always had a wonderful smile. She would have went far in life I believe if only...rest in peace in God's hands for we are truly blessed to have an angel like you.

He claimed he was walking out of the house with the gun and lifted it up to see if it was loaded and if went off. Shalanda was sitting in the car. He claimed it was an accident and said because he drove her to the hospital it proved he didn't mean to shoot her.
