
Steven " Eric" Willard, 36, of Auburndale, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Winter Haven Hospital due to cancer.
Born January 20, 1972, in Winter Haven, he has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was an HVAC Technician for the Engineering Department at Winter Haven Hospital and attended the Winter Haven Church of God. Eric loved to cook, work in his yard and care for his koi pond.
Eric is survived by his wife Suzi Willard; two daughters, Rachel and Brooke Willard of Auburndale; his parents, Pete and Christine Willard of Winter Haven; a sister, Christina Willard of Lakeland; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Willard; his maternal grandmother, Fern Lewis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, at the Winter Haven Church of God, 675 Avenue E, SW, Winter Haven. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.

This is David Butters posting this - Jami Elizabeth Reid's husband.
Eric was a VERY nice guy. He and I worked together at Publix in Highschool. He was liked by everyone and was a genuinely nice person. He and I had some fun times together. Eric always had his stuff together - he knew where he wanted to go in life and how he wanted to live it.
All these years later, reading his obituary, it seems that his plans (as he told them to me) worked out. I only wish his life had not been stopped short. Nothing fair about it. At all.
You were a good guy Eric. I'll see you in the next life.
