.William E. "Bill" Dowling
OLDSMAR -- Mr. William E. "Bill" Dowling of Oldsmar, formerly of Auburndale, died Wednesday (Nov. 16, 2005) at home. The cause of death is pending autopsy results. He was 33.
Born in Hammond, Ind., on March 14, 1972, he moved to Oldsmar from Auburndale five years ago. He was a technician for Black Box Cable Co. in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Dowling is survived by his daughters, Mackenzie Dowling and Corrine Dowling, both of Winter Haven; son, Trent Dowling, Winter Haven; mother, Jeanne Snipes, Port Charlotte; stepfather, Mike Dowling, Indiana; brother, Chris Dowling, Indiana; sister, Dawn Herrick, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 this afternoon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Auburndale Memorial Park.

THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CLASSMATES...NOT THAT I PLAYED BALL WITH HIM, OR WE HAD A LOT OF CLASSES TOGETHER, OR THAT WE HUNG OUT ALOT. WHAT MADE HIM ONE OF MY FAVORITES IS THAT HE WAS ALWAYS "BILL". NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, NO MATTER WHAT WAS AT STAKE, BILL WAS BILL AND NO ONE COULD CHANGE THAT. CHARISMATIC, FUNNY AS HELL, AND ALWAYS THOUGHTFUL OF THE OTHER FELLOW, THAT BIG SMILE AND QUICK WIT, INTERTWINED WITH A VERY SERIOUS LOOK ARE JUST A FEW OF THE CHARACTERISTICS THAT MADE HIM. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE COMMENTS FOR BILL ON HERE. REASON BEING IS THAT HE WASN'T ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS AND HE TOUCHED MY HEART... SO I KNOW HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS ARE VERY SADDENED OF HIS PASSING. Bill and I were good friends in high school and we were roommates for a couple years. What a guy he was. He would bend over backwards to help you out and was always a great friend. After he moved away and would come back home to visit, he was known as "A Celebrity"....In his words...lol!! I love him with all my heart and he will always be remembered! He has a gorgeous daughter (Mckenzie) who is a sophomore cheerleader at AHS and who I look at as my family...she is my lil niece :o).Bill will never be forgotten!!

Bill and I did not know each other in high school(i wasnt there long enough) but we did become friends when he played ball with my then husband (Steve Hebdon). They played in the "Hoop It Up" tournaments all over Florida and did very well.After my husband and I divorced, he and i continued to be friends..He was always very thoughtful of other people and always funny...the life of the party. He is greatly missed..and always loved!!!
