I tried to contact Durwood this past year and reached his wife who told me that Durwood had passed away several years ago. Durwood and I ran around together during high school years. He was a great friend.
Durwood and I were friends, not real close but friends, our senior year, out eary after final exams, we went boating on Durwoods folks big boat. Lots of beer, don't remember who all was there except Jerry Spiller. Was water skiing, fell and the ski hit me in the corner of my left eye, still have the scar. Had to go to work at Bach's Mobil Station at the corner of Lamar and Konic across from DPS, drunk as a skunk. Was to close at 10:00 Pm , Closed at 8:00 and went home, glad my folks were not home. RIP Durwood. Man this site brings back so many memories, some good, some not so good!
