Roy and I played basketball together at  HS.  We joined the Navy in Feb of 62 on the buddy program and went to boot camp together in San Diego.  As luck would have, we were in Memphis together going thru aviation school (different schools) I was stationed in Kingsville and Roy came there also, we played BB together again, for the base team, and won the 8th Navel District championship.  I didn't run with Roy during my time in Kingsville, but we obviously were great friends.  I lost track of Roy after the Navy, am so sorry to hear of his passing.  Roy was a much better person than I.                 Steve Holt
