George became a lawyer and a judge in Dallas and other accomplishments I no longer remember.  I saw him a few years before he died and he reminded me he had been the photographer at school and though of himself as sort of a nerd then.  I believe he moved back to Austin when he retired, though maybe it's his mother's house I'm remembering.  They lived in the area where Northland Drive becomes 2222, off Highland Hills Drive.

I belonged to a Big Bronco email list and George was a member.  I also started a group to reverse-engineer the Ford EEC-IV engine management system (eec-efi list) and George joined that group.  I can't find the initial email he sent, but below are relevant emails including one where he introduced himself to me as a fellow classmate at McCallum.  I'm not sure who told me about his death, but the reference to a board meeting is either the Austin Rifle Club or the Baldwin Point Water Supply Corporation where classmate David Erickson was a board member.

I'd like the real version.

Btw, My mom lives in Austin and I'm down all the time-maybe we could do a
sitdown and meet.

Tom,

I was the school photographer, and worked on the newspaper and yearbook. I
drove a 47 willys jeep to school.
The Tom Cloud in the year book as a senior was in the science club. Only
one listed as a senior.

To those of you who missed the saga, I had a heart attack the day after
sending a big check to the IRS
. Spent several weeks in the hospital. (Wife
forgot to pay internet bill) I think she did it on purpose so I wouldn't be
on line all the time. Now I'm back and up and arround (in rehab 3 time per
week), but still not allowed heavy work(ie, not making any progress on the
460, 8 bolt axle conversion). All the L&L parts are sitting in the back of
the Bronco. I'm bored, so I'll try to look up any questions you guys have
in the books, although I don't have as many books as Tom C.

I just re-upped with the list to pass on two items I think of interest
to the BB group. The second (next email) is about progress on controlling
the ford efi.

The purpose of this missive is to inform the group of George Shepherd's
death. Perhaps you have already heard about it ?? (Perhaps it's not
true ??)

At a board meeting last night, I met another person with whom I graduated
from high school .... he informed me that our classmate, George Shepherd
<texan@iamerica.net>, had died. (Please tell me this is wrong) .... as
you know, George was a member of the BB group for a long time. He was
the photographer for our high school class at McCallum high school in
Austin, TX graduating in 1961, went to law school and was a judge in
Dallas.

George was at one of the reunions. I talked to him there. He said his wife died in childbirth. I don't remember if the baby died too, but I think it did. So sad. He lived on Perry Lane, west of Balcones, maybe just off Perry Lane.
