I'm so sorry to hear that Leslie lost his battle.  My prayers go out to Barbara and his family.  May you find peace and comfort in the days to come.

Judy and I were shocked by the news of Leslie's passing.  Leslie and I lived a few houses apart in Crestview, went through Elementary, Lamar, McCallum, UT, and several years with the same corporation, Celanese Chemical. Judy was friends with Barbara over the same time.  Leslie later worked for a milk producer in San Antonio and then was CFO for an oil company in Houston.  We lost track of Leslie and Barbara after I was transferred to a plant in the Texas Panhandle, but we would see them occasionally at reunions.  Later, they stopped coming to the reunions because Leslie was uncomfortable in crowds.  Leslie was a good person and was very focused on whatever he decided to do (as was his Dad).  I never expected that we would lose him.

Leslie, a good friend and neighbor, when growing up in Austin. He and I both played the Alto Sax in the McCallum Band. Really difficult to accept that he had a difficult life at the end. Life is more transitory than we realize and should make us more aware that each day is a gift to be used for goodwill.

Rest in Peace Leslie!

Your friend Larry Kennedy

Sorry to hear of Leslie's passing.  But he is going to a better place and cured.  He was great to be around in the band and always had a kind word for everyone.

Leslie was one of my closest friends at McCallum and a fellow Alto Sax player! We enjoyed each others company and will be missed, certainly by Barbara and his family. PD is a terrible disease and is slowly claiming the life of another of my friends in Maine. Rest in Peace Lelie. Your friend Larry
