Michael was a 1962 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

He was predeceased by his mother, Norma J. Byers Kochera, and father, Frank “Aljon” Kochera, both of Austintown.

Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 22 years, Alice Boyer Kochera of Mineral Ridge; son, Michael Kochera Jr. and his wife, Rachel of North Canton; stepson, Michael Boyer (Amy Demlow) of Medina; four grandchildren, Mallory and Leo Kochera, and Justin and Sara Boyer; and countless other family and friends.

Michael retired in 2000 from Glunt Industries Inc. as a machinist. Michael was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He and his wife, Alice, enjoyed their winters in Orange City, Fla. Michael was affectionately known as “Mr. Mike” around his Mineral Ridge neighborhood and was a friend to all.

A private memorial service for family will be scheduled.
