David G. Pestell July 28, 1942 - June 10, 2008

Albion/Spencerport - David G. Pestell, 65, of East Union Street, formerly of Allbion, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in Park Ridge Hospital following a long illness.

He was born July 28, 1942, in Albion, to the late Robert and Iris Riches Pestell and had lived in this area all of his life.

David was a former auxiliary police officer with the Orleans County Sheriff's Department, a Kodak retiree, a member of  the Clio Lodge 779 F&AM in Hilton. Mr. Pestell also was a hunter safety instructor and an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his loving companion and friend, Barb Hinton; his daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Sietmann of Albion; a sister, Dorothy (Ron) Gilbert of Florida; four grandchildren, Brionnah, Jenna, and Jessica Raglan, Spencer Sietmann; the mother of his daughter, Mary Ann Pestell of Albion; cousin Linda (Don) Prince; special friend and neighbor, Wes, as well as several nieces and nephews, and nine beloved canine companions.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at graveside at 11 am, Friday in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made fto the  Brockport Conservation Club.
