Thomas Pirro

Thomas Pirro passed away peacefully in Delray Beach, Fla., on Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2013) after an extensive battle with cancer. He was 68 years young.

He was born in Batavia on March 6, 1944, one of six children of Ann L. (Borzi) Pirro of Pompano Beach, Fla., and the late Norfe J. Pirro. He preceded in death by his mother Ann, 96.

Shortly after graduating, Tom married Jerri Krom and moved to Ithaca. He worked at Pirro’s Pizza with his brothers Sal and Dave. He also was an avid entertainer who played the organ and was a singer. Tom then moved into furniture sales and the family relocated to North Lauderdale, Fla., in 1974 where he continued his love for entertaining and the furniture business. With motivation from his brother Sal, he introduced Pirro Productions “The Singing Machine” to nightclubs across South Florida. Tom was proud when he built his recording studio and nightclub, and created a diversified entertainment company as well. He raised money using his skills for several needy charities and local communities. Tom was married to his wife Jerri for 35 years until her death in 2000 and they treasured every minute together.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Brenda (Paul) and their children, Nicholas and Isabella; a son, Paul (Clelia) and their child, Joshua; his mother, Ann; his siblings Lucy, Dave, Mark Pirro and Diane Calarco and and many extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Thomas D. Pirro.
