Of East Amherst at 81. Beloved wife of Dr. Frank E. Bartscheck, PhD.; loving mother of Kimberly C. Bartscheck and Frank E. (Dr. Chelsea Green-Bartscheck, PhD.) Bartscheck; dear sister of Sharon (William) Slowik; cherished sister-in-law of the late Florence (Richard) Laux and the late Mary (Daniel) Kowalski; fond aunt of Donald Laux, Debbie Laux, Michele (James) Nixon, Heather (Jae) Kwan, Elizabeth (Brian) Flannagan, Michael (Emily) Slowik and Matthew (Meredith) Slowik. The family will be present on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Drive (corner of Hopkins Rd.) where prayers will be offered on Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from the University at Buffalo Newman Center (North Campus), 495 Skinnersville Rd., Amherst, NY at 10AM. Edwina was the Chief Physical Therapist at the VA Hospital in Batavia. She was the President of FEB Enterprises where she invested, rehabbed and rented residential properties in the Broadway Market area of Buffalo. She received the honor of Landlord of the Year from Rental Assistance Corporation (RACB) Buffalo in 2000. She was a 40 year member of St. Gregory the Great Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector until moving to the University at Buffalo Newman Center where she continued her service there for many years.
