Robert O. Fricker Sr.  August 17, 1943 - February 20, 2007

Robert O. Fricker Sr., 63, of Burbank, Calif., died Tuesday (Feb. 20, 2007) after complications from a long illness.

He was born Aug. 17, 1943, in Buffalo, a son of the late Arthur and Lois Fricker. Mr. Fricker had lived in Burbank since 1983. Known as Bob, he previously worked for Niagara Mohawk and Los Angeles Water and Power. He was a proud member of the Elks Club for more than 31 years. He was a past exalted ruler of Batavia Lodge 950. At the time of his death, he was chairman of the Board of Trustees and president of the Building Commission of Burbank Lodge 1497.

Survivors include a daughter, Tamara (David) Flanell of Long Island; a son, Robert Fricker Jr. of Batavia; sisters, Joan Arnold of Baldwinsville and Gail Biegasiewicz of Batavia; and a brother, Steve Fricker of California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James, and sister, Carol.

A memorial service was Sunday in Burbank, Calif. His remains are being cremated by Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, Calif. 90068.

When we were really young, maybe 7th grade, Bob used to come over to see me on his bicycle.  My that was a long, long time ago.
