Katherine A. Owen, 73, of Batavia passed away Thursday, May 23 at Rochester General Hospital.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Natalie (Walker) Owen and a brother Robert W. She is survived by her brother, James R. Owen of Batavia.

A 1963 graduate of Batavia High School and Alfred State College, Kathy was proud of playing a key part in maintaining the close knit relationships the Class of ‘63 has experienced over the last 55 years. She had last worked for Attica Bus Service after many years employed in the dental office of Dr. L. L. Mulcahy, Jr. An accomplished photographer and music lover, she loved the outdoors, her animals and being in nature. As an avid Buffalo Bills and Batavia Muckdogs fan, we know she will be looking down on her favorite teams cheering for that elusive championship.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, on Wednesday, May 29 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
