Dick

Maybe next time, time was short in the Smokies, Ann had her sights set on Tanger in Pigeon Forge, most of the time spent with Sarah in New Smyrna.

Speedball is correct, I remember the night clearly, they started with Time won't let me, I do believe.

I had the pleasure of connecting with Ms. Donna Skeens, former NKHS English teacher on Facebook this afternoon. If you are a FB user, perhaps you would consider stopping by and leaving her a message.

I know there are classmates from several different states.  Just wondering, how cold are your temperatures & if you have snow?

In southern IN, it is 21 degrees, feels like 9 degrees, with a slight dusting of snow.  (at 9:33 p.m.)

We had a record low of 13 here in Charlotte, NC.  It broke the record of 14 from 1937.  Good snow in the NC mountains, but clear skies at my home.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.  Your greetings have put a bigger smile on my face today.  Our daughter Cassie is a wonderful cook, so we will be having dinner and cake at her house tonight.  I hope all of you in Southern Indiana are staying warm and safe.  We have snow, but no ice, therefore, driving is not an issue.  Merry Christmas to all of you.

Bill & I were at the wedding reception of Bill & Kim Schroeder's daughter, Andrea & Seth Harting tonight. (Beautiful!)   Wayne Albrecht (class of 71) told me he enjoys reading our website news.  I told him he should sign in and comment from time to time.  He said he wasn't a member of the class!!  Wayne, if you notice at the top, it says Class of 1970 & Friends.  Let's hope if he signs in!

Jean:   Wayne is on as a guest member, if he would like to sign on.

Also, thanks to 1971's Pam Williams (White) for all the pictures she placed on her profile page.  Great Pictures.    Maybe this will inspire others to do the same.

Happy Belated Birthday Judy!  And Merry Christmas as well!

Merry Christmas to all....as to the COLD weather, I thought I was back in Rockford,Il last week when I went to open my trunk and it was frozen shut......happened all the time when I lived in Rockford and couldn't get my door unlocked after working at St. Anthony's Hospital...I don't remember having this experience in the South until now.....the freezing fog was interesting as well.

Stay warm everyone!

Judy - hope you had a wonderful birthday!  Sorry this is late - guess I just wanted to extend the celebration a little longer.

Merry Christmas to all!  The lights are up and looking fabulous out at Jim & Ruth's ranch.  Don't know who all participates in the set up, Ruth, but it looks great!

Here's my favorite Christmas message for this year (borrowed from a card we received):

Wise men came with the treasures of earth in their hands...and left with the Treasure of Heaven in their hearts.

May you receive the Treasure, too.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Let us remember to keep Christ in Christmas as we enjoy this holiday season.

Thanks Lu, Jim does all the work outside. He puts them out, then asks me to arrange what needs to be changed. He truely enjoys doing this, one day we will run out of space or money to pay the electric bill :)

Kathy Watson,  I am sorry your mom has the Shingles.  I hope she is getting along better.  My mother enjoyed her letter and update.  I will post the front page story from The Charlotte Observer from today, December 26th, in case you did not see it.  It is interesting to read all the comments on the gun issue Mike Land is dealing with.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas.  We finally did get 2-3 inches of snow here in Charlotte late Christmas day, but nothing too bad.

Hey Rich!  Thanks for the Observer article...I hadn't seen it....thanks also for your concern about Mom....since I got snowed in and couldn't get to SC on Christmas, I think she was actually relieved because she is still in so much pain/discomfort...we will get down there in a week or two....hope you got the snow pix......

The pictures are beautiful, Kathy!!  Snow looks so peaceful, unless you are driving or have a flight to catch!   Dick have you been to New York lately?  It sounds like it is still a nightmare there!

Jean and Kathy,  Thanks for the profile updates and pictures.  Jean,  I was lucky.  I watched all the snow from my living room.  It can be brutal out there with all the angry passengers sometimes when tempers run short with bad weather.
