I am sad to report that my old, dear friend John Perry passed away on April 24.  He as able to spend his final months at home on his beloved farm on Lambs Run, in Harrisville, WV.  His daughters and many good friends did their utmost to make his final weeks as comfortable as possible. I spoke with him often and he maintained his sharp mind, good humor and unique perspective until the end. We had been friends since fifth grade. His loss leaves a huge hole in my life.

This is such sad news. John and I were good friends in high school and remained such throughout our undergrad years at Oakland. We largely lost touch after I moved to Kansas but reconnected when John reached out to me last summer about the class reunion. Unfortunately, neither of us was able to attend. Another missed opportunity. Another regret for things left undone . . . .
