From Penzien-Steele Funeral Home site: "Cynthia Ann (Clemens) Walker was born in Bay City, MI to the late Harvey Everett and Dorothy Elizabeth (Fish) Clemens on July 14, 1944. She passed away at McLaren Bay Region on April 27, 2018. Cindy was raised in Bay City until 1957 when her parents, sister and she moved to Birmingham, MI. She graduated from Seaholm High School in 1962 and then attended Central Michigan University earning her teaching degree in 1966. She taught in Midland, MI and Lansing, MI. She and her husband moved to Bay City in 1970 to take over the family business: Fish's Wallpaper and Paint. Cindy then taught at Zion Lutheran School in Bay City. Cindy earned her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State College in 1983. She opened and owned Learning Town Day Care/Preschool (1989-1999). Cindy spent her retirement enjoying her family and friends, swimming at the YWCA and at Delta College, was active at Zion Lutheran Church, and was an active supporter and Board Member for Brian's House Community Group. Survivors include her husband George N. Walker whom she married August 20, 1966 at First Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, MI, her son Marc Alan (Aleksandra) Walker, her daughter Alison Elizabeth (Jeffrey Michael) Taylor and her grandchildren: Katelyn and Megan Taylor, Luke and Jude Walker. She was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Lynn Price. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul G. Kruse will officiate. Private entombment will be at Floral Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Brian's House Community Group. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. She will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time."
