Survived By: Children, P. Michael (Holly) Boroday and Jill Christine (Jim) Stefanchin. Mother, Fran Broxton. Two brothers, Richard Broxton and Rick (Cindy) Broxton. Grandchildren, Landon and William, Brittany, Morgan, and Mackenzie.

She was 71 years old. Joy was born September 28, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Frances Mary (Morrison) and Richard Broxton. Joy worked in the floral and event planning industry for many years and was a personal assistant and confidant to a trusted and loved employer and friend for the last two decades. She enjoyed gardening, being surrounded by nature and all the beauty Mother Nature has to offer. She dearly loved all creatures great and small and she held the love and companionship of all of her dogs close to her heart all the years of her life. She loved "Her" Marines and all of the members of our Armed Forces. She was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and loved spending time with her family, friends, dogs and the peaceful time reading and painting. She will be missed dearly by many. Joy is survived by her children, P. Michael (Holly) Boroday and Jill Christine (Jim) Stefanchin and mother, Fran Broxton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Landon and William, Brittany, Morgan, and Mackenzie, and brothers, Richard Broxton and Rick (Cindy) Broxton and niece and nephews, Jennifer (Mark) Connolly and Hannah and Charlie, John Broxton, Shamus Booth, Lucas (Krista) Booth and Aria, Connor and Emma. Joy is preceded in death by her father, Richard Broxton. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday, April 29th5-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, 1669 W. Maple Road, Saturday, April 30th at 10am.
