Obituary

Shirley Ann King, age 76, passed away in Pasadena, Maryland on Monday, February 08, 2021.

Born in Detroit, Michigan to Andrew Sampson and Winifred Best, Shirley grew to love travel. Earning a Master’s in business, Shirley went on to found her own agency. Combining her love of travel with her love of Laurel, she opened Laurel Main Street Travel.  During her life, Shirley was a member of the American Society of Travel Agents.  Her passion for seeing the world and helping others extended into all aspects of her life. Shirley also enjoyed working with the Laurel Historical Society.

Shirley King is survived by sister Marjorie Gunther and was preceded in death by her brother John Sampson.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Service at a later date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Independent Baptist Church http://faith.independent-baptist-church.us  or the Hospice of the Chesapeake Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Center http://www.hospicechesapeake.org.
