After graduating from Borah HS in Boise, went to U of Michigan for a variety of majors, trying to avoid/delay draft. Finally go a BSc in Forestry and the Army got me for a tour in Vietnam. Returned to U of M for a Masters degree on the GI bill. Also met my wife there. Upon graduating, no interesting job opportunities in US, so contacted friends in New Zealand. Was offered job with the NZ Forest Service so wife and I went there for a look (and we're still there). Great job - fulfilling, interesting and fun. Spent a lot if time in the field, often with a rifle and fishing rod - lots of game and big trout! Home freezer was always full of venison, wild pork, ducks, and fish. Left Forest Service to join British Petroleum to head up a new forestry division. Great job, again. Finally went into consulting when London decided to get out of forestry. Spent 5 years as a director in a leading NZ forest consulting firm, then another 5 years on my own. Now retired.

None/never attended (list reason(s)) Overseas

A special teacher:

Found my old 1960 yearbook - what a blast! Probably my favourite (NZ Spelling) teach was Mr. Peterson - what a great guy! I also thought a lot (respect) of Mr. McGuire (I only encountered his paddle across my backsides once) who was great at keeping us in line. Also, Mr. Green allowed us to do some great things during driver ed - boy we hammered that car at times!
