This is the obituary that was printed in the Davis County Clipper:
E. Jeanine Grills Nelson Jeanine Grills Nelson passed away May 11, 1998. She was born January 21, 1956 in Bountiful, Utah. Survived by a daughter Erin Harrison who was the greatest joy in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Wayne Grills and Elma Jorgensen Grills, and a sister Jerilyn Christian. Graveside services were held on May 19, 1998 in Bountiful. Jeanine grew up in Bountiful and attended Davis County schools. She was known for her entertaining ways and great sense of humor. She loved people, could strike up a conversation with anyone and talk a mile a minute. Jeanine enjoyed old movies and Big Band Era music. Sure could sing a great Barbara Streisand and who could forget the Andrew Sisters routine? She dealt with the more than her share of life’s challenges with a strong sense of optimism. Sometimes what appears to be the end is really a new beginning. Jeanine is gone but not forgotten. “A friend is a friend is a friend”.

I never hear a song by the Andrews Sisters that I don't think of Jeanine, when she, Carla and Megan would sing "Hold Tight" at so many of our assemblies. She was a talented, vivacious girl and left us much too soon.

I'm just getting caught up on the death of some of our classmates. This makes me so sad. Most of them I didn't know about. I had no idea that Jeanine died so young. She was sweet, fun, and very talented. Life dealt her a cruel blow yet she seemed to be positive and upbeat the last time I spoke with her, which was at our 20-year reunion. She had done a pilot for a television show but I cant remember the name or if it went anywhere. I just remember how beautiful she was and how much I enjoyed catching up with her. RIP Jeanine
