In Memory

Lynn Slade

Dee Lynn Slade, along with his precious wife Julie and dear son Dallas, left this earth suddenly in a tragic automobile accident Wednesday, August 13. He was born to Roger Wade and Beth Hurst Slade in Ogden, Utah on February 4, 1956. Lynn was a beloved son, brother and father. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1974, and served faithfully in the France Tolouse LDS mission. He received a B.S. degree in microbiology from Weber State University, and completed the requirements for a masters degree in the same field from BYU. Lynn was a valuable researcher in the field of oncology along with his colleagues at the V.A. Hospital. Most recently, Gull Laboratories were the recipients of his professional talents. Lynn's passions were his family, the gospel and helping others. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities over the years, most recently as a Cub Scout leader. Along with his gentle manner, he had the ability to fix almost anything and used that skill often to help others.Lynn was preceded in death by his infant son, Adison. He is survived by his sons, Kade, 11 and Jayden, 18 months; his parents, Roger and Beth Hurst; brothers, Allan R. (Jeanette) Slade, Neal K. (Brenda) Slade, David L. (Kari) Slade; sisters, Diane Slade and Colleen (Clayton) Vernon; 16 nieces and nephews, and many friends and loved ones.

Cameron, thank you so much for posting the link to the pictures of Lynn and his family. It breaks my heart to think of how this terrible loss affected Kade and baby Jayden. They would now be 36 and 28 respectively, and I sincerely hope they are doing well in spite of this  great loss in their childhood.
