I was casual friends with Bill during Junior and Senior High School. He was one of the good guys. I remember being impressed that he did not back away from a fist fight in Junior High School that was forced on him by a fellow student who had an arm cast and was using it to block Bill's punches, which must have been painful for Bill.
I didn't keep in touch with Bill following graduation, but was very surprised to learn of his premature death.
