He actually went to Viewmont High, but he always felt he was part of Bountiful High. (most of his friends went to Bountiful.) His obituary summed it up: Hoppy…fast cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, Monte Cristo, his 1972 red-orange truck, Rocky Mountain Raceway, Johnny Carson, September 17th, Union Pacific, Lees Café then Dees, well known by the police in his youth, cherry coke, lollipops, wet-willys, road trips, his cowboy boots, riding his motorcycle through the halls of Viewmont High, his infamous brown suit with the yellow shirt, Goldie the Duck, his buddy Atlas, Ron Jr., Diane, and his grandkids. What is the definition of a man? For Hoppy, it is family and friends who knew that no matter what, Hoppy always had our backs. THANK YOU!!!

Ron, Mort, Kim and I had a blast together.  I was shocked to hear that his Orange Truck was still roadable.  There must have been at least 20 new engines and 10 transmissions 100+ driveshafts and other work.

Here's to great times on State Street!!  (And getting stuck in the mountians and walking out in a blizzard)

Ron had a heart of Gold and it was great to run into him again when I was on the community council at Muir Elementary.  He Loved his kids.
