The date wasn't in the meeting minutes, I found it on FB.

Mark your calendars - APRIL 27, 2019 at the Lake Jackson Civic Center.

If you're on FB, you can find the page at Brazosport 1969 50th Reunion.

Or, MAYBE, click this link below.   For more information, see the Meeting Minutes (left side, Home Page).   Or ask someone who was there.

At the top far right of the Home Page, I've added a section for MISSING CLASSMATES.  They may be on this list simply because they have NOT EVER  joined and that's certainly a choice.  However, they will not be getting notifications, mail-outs, etc. because their demographics are not available here.  If you have contact information, please get it to, I think, Winona Hebert Spinks.  (Read the last Meeting Minutes, someone was designated)

There are people who HAVE joined but have not kept this site updated and current so they will not be receiving same notifications, etc. They are NOT on this MISSING CLASSMATES section.  Those people will eventually show up through email bounce backs, or returned mail outs (which there have not been any thus far) or when they start complaining about not being contacted.

I know nothing.  I do very little.  I'm just a messenger (who makes up her own messages).

Mr Poehl,

My handicap IS golf.  Haven't played since Memorial Day 1981, but still hold the record at Champions in Houston for the horizontal and the vertical club throws.  I'm much calmer and patient now, but just to be safe, is there a virtual golf course?

Mike S. I can hit a ball with my right arm 75 yds. We could play if you want to try  to beat someone. I use two telescoping clubs, one adjusts from putter to wedge, the driver looks normal. And I play the app WGT by Topgolf, daily.

A suggestion:

I had as many friends in the other classes that attended BHS with us as I had in our class.  I know that it's a bit late but is there any way that we can have a joint reunion with, at least, the class before us ('68) and the one after us ('70)? It would be even better if we could have the reunion with the two classes before and the two classes after.

I would caution against simply announcing that our reunion is open to other classes who want to attend since very few would do so.  To make it successful, this is something that will need to be formally presented to and closely coordinated with the other classes.

I realize that the logistics would be exponentially larger but it would make for a great time.

Bruce, that has been discussed.  We have to wait to see how many of our classmates are going to attend and if there is adequate room at the venue.   Some of us have been attending some of the 68 events and we have been included in their reunion this coming October.   We have also discussed that this may very well be the last reunion for our class only and may need to start have joint reunions with other classes as have the classes of the 50's have done.  I hope to see you next April at our reunion!

Expanding the golf is not a problem. My wife's class of 69 in San Antonio tried it at their last reunion, with very little success. Not a fan myself - but also I am not doing much other than co-ordinating golf.Seems to be alot more effort for all thsoe doing the work.

I'm getting a late start with Medicare because I was still working. What's everyone's opinion of Part D? Any recommendations for supplements to Medicare?

I would appreciate any help or advice. It's like shopping for toothpaste -- too many choices!

Becky C R, learn about it before you get old. I am still telling every agent at the SS/Medicare places that there is age discrimination. I had great coverage until I got to be here. I waited until I was 66 to get with the program and never claimed disability of any kind. My ‘93 CvVA had little to zero bearing on the Medicare thing. Go to your local SS office. They were very helpful/informative!
