Does anyone know a Bob Michael?  He sent Marian a message wanting to come to our reunion.  I don't see him listed on our site.

I don't know Bob Michael. Marian, ask him how he relates to us. Maybe he went to school with us but moved before graduation .

Margaret if I can find it, I will be there Friday evening. I have a terrible sense of direction.  Really enjoyed our 40th so I'm looking forward to this one.

Janie W M, I’ll be a non-drinking drifter/floater to lead anyone into the spider’s web here. Call (979) 201-3935 if you get lost. Where will you be staying?

It’s a deal, Donna!  Or we could meet at your favorite place in July. We’ll be visiting 4 of the islands. Pick one!

Well, I'll do lunch in Austin, or Palo Alto, or I guess anywhere.  I believe all had a good time at On The River last night.  Lots of visiting and catching up.  See you tonight!

Donna BJ, I use my typing skills using my right hand only these days and don’t  proofread unless going back over important texts etc. A touchscreen on my ipad Pro is my typewriter these days. The iph. screens are still too small for my fingers. See you atbour next 50th in ‘69 huh?

I just want to say a very big thank you to everyone who organized and worked so hard on our 50th reunion. You people are amazing. I hope everyone had a good time, and those traveling made it home safe. Everyone have a blessed Sunday

I agree 100% and add my thanks to all those who worked so hard to plan and carry out a great celebration.  The informal dinner on Friday was a very relaxed time to mix and mingle.  Saturday morning was also very laid back with more time to visit and play games.  Saturday night was awesome!  I don't want to try to list all the names of contributors because I know I will miss somebody, but I have to mention the incredible job Paula Tate did on decorations- really first class!  The food and music were good and it was well-attended.  I just wish everyone could have been there.  My wife, Lucinda (Venn, a '72 Bwood grad) commented, "Your class really knows how to party!"  Sunday morning worship at BHS was lightly attended but very meaningful with some excellent preaching and some moving personal testimonies.  I look forward to our next reunion!

Indeed this reunion really stood out as a GREAT ONE. I just wish I had had the opportunity to hug and visit with each one of you. Classmates! You look really good! The BHS class of '69 is a special class. Several teachers I know have remarked that if you teach for very long, you learn that some classes are extraordinary; zealous; great achievers; go-getters. I believe this is true for us. smiley

Life is short; make each day count. Hug someone. Speak a blessing to people all around you, may they be a stranger in the grocery store or your child. Write a letter of appreciation to someone who needs it; share a card. Shake off depression or anxiety. Give it to the Lord God if it's something you struggle with. I suspect some of our classmates didn't attend due to depression or the sense they don't measure up. News flash! None of us measure up....that's why I am so happy I have Jesus Christ to give me daily joy. He DOES MEASURE UP.  So class of '69, enjoy life today. Don't wait for tomorrow. My prayers have been active for our class since 1965, and will continue until I am in heaven.

It was so great to see all our classmates this past weekend!  I think that it is true-like fine wine, we get better with age!  We all forgot our age and were transported back to the days when we were 18 yrs old.  The love and joy was evident in the air.  Thank you to all who attended and to those that couldn't be there, we missed you very much!  Already thinking about next year-

I'm sorry to have missed our reunion last weekend. Unfortunately, my wife had her 50th on the same weekend. Maybe I'll see you at the next one. My best to everyone.

This reunion was great in so many ways!  I loved seeing folks I had not seen for 10 years - or in some cases 50 years.  It was fun sharing memories and new stories.  A lot of us didn't really know each other back then with such a huge population at Brazosport HS, but it was fun meeting and finding common threads.  I wish I had more time to visit more of you.
Another great part of this was going to visit where my Dad's Hertz business/Sinclair station used to be.  I think I scared some of the hair salon patrons walking in taking pictures of what used to be. I took my wife, Janet around and she watched me visualize where the nearby Esso/Exon Station, Lake Jackson Bank, Shaddocks grocerty, Browns Auto Supply, and Lake Theater used to be.  Took pictures under the Lake sign and had breakfast taco customers wondering what the heck we were doing.  lol
We went to my old home at 35 Lake Road and memories flooded in.  The current owners haven't changed much of anything and it was awesome getting to see the place and the giant oaks, magnolias.  They let us go through the house and want me to send pics of how it was back then.  I again realize how truely blessed I was to be able to grow up in such a place in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Then for fun I showed her Surfside Beach, ate at the Red Snapper and drove down the beach a while.  She now understands how easy it was to sneak outta class to the beach for a period or two after carefully crafted diversions were made to keep "Shotgun Slade", from catching us.
Great great time yall!   Cant wait for the next BHS Class of '69 adventure.
