John Adcock, what a sweet thing to do. Betty, you just gave a whole bunch of mothers a wonderful idea! I think about my Mother every day and the older I get, the more I miss her.

John..You do not know how needed that beautiful song you sent to us mom was needed. I spent my mother's day with my oldest daughter and sister in League City looking for a rehab home for my mom. The hospital said they would only release her to a rehab facility. All my mother ever asked her children for, was that we would not put her in a home. My heart is hurting so bad but I know this is what my mom needs. Hopefully this will be temporary and she can come back home. One of my memories of my mom is when Dr. Beutel and two others came to our home to tell my mom that my dad was killed at Dow. I remember her strength. Left with 5 kids and I'm sure, very little money. Steve, I sent you a private email but I wanted you to know you are on our prayer line at church. But, I can tell you this site is one of the best for prayers. My daughter's dr. cannot believe how fast she recovered from her surgery and NO CANCER! The prayers from our classmates, I know, made the difference. Remember Alice in your prayers. Luv ya!

MARIAN, THERE'S A BIG DIFFERENCE IN SHUFFLING AWAY YOUR PARENTS BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH THEM (WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS NOT YOUR CASE) AND GETTING THEM THE HELP THEY NEED AND DESERVE BY PLACING THEM UNDER QUALIFIED CARE PEOPLE IN THEIR MOMENT OF NEED.

I WOULD HATE TO THINK THAT I ENDED UP IN A HOME ALL ALONE WITH NOBODY EVEN CARING (WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN AS LONG AS MY SON'S ARE AROUND - LOVE BEGATS LOVE). BUT I ALSO HOPE AND PRAY THAT IF MY LIFE COMES TO A POINT THAT I NEED CARE, THAT MY SONS WILL SEE TO IT THAT I HAVE THE CARE I NEED.

BUT I'M NOT REALLY WORRIED. I'M SO ORNERY THAT I'LL PROBABLY OUT LIVE MY SONS.

ACTUALLY, I EXPECT THE RETURN OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR BEFORE ANY OF THAT HAPPENS.

YOU MOTHER IS BLESSED TO HAVE SOMEONE THAT CARES FOR HER AS MUCH AS YOU DO, YOU SHOULD NEVER FEEL BAD ABOUT DOING WHAT YOU DO FOR HER IN HER BEST INTERESTS. WHAT YOU DO FOR HER YOU DO THROUGH LOVE.

JUST KEEP LOVING HER BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT SHE REALLY NEEDS MOST.

Marian, John is absolutely right. My dad fell last June and broke his hip. He had been determined to live out the rest of his life alone in the house I grew up in. Well, that was now impossible, and like your mom, he could only be released to a rehab facility. He had not been in good health and needed regular meds that we weren't sure he was taking properly. It broke our hearts in the beginning to put him in a nursing facility. I recently asked him if he was happy where he was, and he assured me that the only other place he would rather be was in Heaven with my mom. He is very happy and we are confident that he is being kept clean and fed properly, he exercises daily and is given his meds exactly as prescribed. It is a major relief for him as well as his children, and we thank the Lord for this place and the wonderful people who minister to our dad.

Hi Everyone... I am back!!!! Oh, crazy me slipped on the floor at the ranch...arm sure feels weird!!! I had a great Mother's Day!!!! Hope you Moms did too!!!

Betty...what a wonderful story of your sweet Mom...thank you so much for sharing!

Today, I remember my Mom...I only had 14 very short years with her. I don't understand why we lost her so young, but I know it was GOD'S plan. Things that happen in our lives mold us into the person that GOD plans us to be. So many times GOD has put children into my life that need a MOM! My Mom was very athletic and always beat my Dad golfing! She loved animals, and raised a jack rabbit at our house. He jumped around boxing us! She hatched a parakeet egg when the mother flew off and nursed the parakeet. He lived for years, and thought she was his Mother!!! She had a big heart, and wow she could sure cook good!!!! I use her recipes today!!!The last time we spoke is when she gave me her last quarter for the junior high football game! She was a beautiful woman...and one day I will see her again. It has been 43 years! You that still have your Moms are blessed!

Steve...I have added you and your family to my prayer list...may GOD comfort you all during this difficult time, and give your Dad peace. GOD bless you and your family. I am very sorry for what you are going through.

Thank you John...so nice of you!!!
Marian...you are helping your MOM by getting her the help she needs. You are a great daughter!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day...it is the greatest accomplishment of my life...being a Mom and loving our sons. In each one I can see my husband..what a gift!
Judy...I can remember your Mom...she did raise a beautiful, sweet daughter!!
Carol, Kathy I am sure your both were great daughters...as you are great people!
Thank you all for your kind, loving words!!!
WE have great people...the 1969 Exporters!!!
Love to all, and GOD Bless,
JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0)

Janice, Kitty, Joy and John A.......Thank you all for your kind words for my mom. I actually take my lap top and share with my mom all the comments I receive and I see the tears in her eyes. I feel GOD had his hand in forming this site. I have received countless emails of support from our classmates and I cannot begin to tell you how much they mean to me and my family. God Bless You All. Marian

OK Beutel students, does anyone remember this?
The aardvark, the yak and the gnu,
May be very odd people to you,
But think how much worsen,
A real grown up person,
Would look if he lived in a zoo.

I posted 2 new pictures from high school. If you were on the high school volleyball team or a delegate of the Texas Youth Conference, you might want to take a peek. Volleyball girls, remember we did not win even one game.

Dee Ann - -

Did not winning a game have anything to do with you not being able to reach the bottom of the vollyball net?

I looked at you posting and saw you standing on the front row of the vollyball team picture.

Dee Ann: I noticed in your 1st grade school picture Steve Broussard. What ever happened to him? Did he make it to high school with us? I don't see him on our listing and my memory fails me.

Everyone, I talked to Steve Landers. He is at home now and w/out internet, although that might change. His dad is there w/ him and on hospice. Steve is the primary caregiver right now. His dad has congestive heart failure and had a heart attack yesterday. Before I could tell him how much all of you had responded to a request for prayer, another crisis of some sort began and he had to hang up.

Julie: Thanks for posting that picture of Mrs Johnson's class. It's weird that I can remember every face and can't put a name but to only a few. Please put some names to as many faces as you can. By the way, I think Mrs. Johnson had just hit me in the back of my head when that picture was taken.

Dickie, I don't think Steve went to high school with us, but my memory is not as good as Dee Allen's or others. Maybe someone else out there knows what happened to him.

Joy, I heard from Cheryl. She knows about the website but is so tired from being on the computer all day at work that when she gets home, she doesn't want to get back on. (Lynn, she also needs a night job.) She says she will fill out the info when she gets back from Italy.

Jd Barnett:

Happy Birthday Harold!

Happy Birthday,
Happy Birthday,
There is gloom in the air
People dying everywhere
Happy Birthday.

Arlene Prows's dad taught me that song.
