Michael...don't be worried about that scar... you will have a rougher..tougher look!!! Hahaha...I have a scar over my lip! I was bitten by an epileptic dog when we were in high school!!! Did you ever see me with that huge band aid over my lip when we were seniors? My step Mother had this crazy dog, and asked me to feed it seizure pills.. The dog also chewed up her nephew..Kevin Garner...one of the greatest pitchers at University of Texas Baseball team!!! Now my scar looks like a big wrinkle!!!LOL
Kind of gives me a serious look...even though I am goofy...my Jolie said..."oh, Nanny you are so goofy!!!

GOD Bless, and thank you GOD for sending Michael and his family all the love and encouragement from the class of 1969!!!!!
JOY!!! :0)

Michael, I know where you are coming from. I have been battling throat cancer for this past year. Seems to be in remission but you never know. Will you have to go through any radiation or chemo during all this. Hope not. Not fun! Take care and my family will be saying prayers for you.

====================================================
And Joey, we are continuing to pray for your cancer NOT to return. Alice Day Smith

Just got a SCREAMING call from Maria Seidler Atkins - she holds the winning ticket to the new car in the Rotary club's Shrimp Boil raffle! I'll admit, I was screaming, also.

Maria, I can't think of a more precious person than you. How exciting for you to win a car...what is it?

And Michael, with the corporate prayers of ALL OF US, then God is actively answering all of us on your behalf. ;-) We are standing in prayer believing victory for you.

Alice, you tell me I'm precious all the time - why don't you think I should have won the car? Wait . . . the kind of 'precious' I am, is that like being 'special'?

special, precious carrol

Hey Judy and Joe...will send you msgs soon.

Big congrats, Maria!

Lynn Langham, I was glancing through a magazine while waiting in a checkout line and read that in mascara, cobalt blue is the next black! This means I WILL be able to find blue mascara! :) Just thought you'd like to know.

Ladies,
What is every one wearing to the dinner Sat night? Just thought I would get a poll. Can't wait to see everyone.

Good question-are we keeping this informal/casual?

Maybe Kathy can find blue mascara for all of us-

08/16/09 04:44 PM #1852

Julie Davidson (Sabrsula)

I vote for something COOL!

08/16/09 04:53 PM #1853

Margaret Dubois (Ammons)

Absolutely-COOL AND COMFORTABLE!

08/16/09 09:43 PM #1854

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

Yep, I'm for COOL, comfortable and casual.

08/16/09 09:50 PM #1855

Joe Ballard

I vote for cool and comfy for all!

Dee Ann Trout (Glenn)

Oh pooh...I guess I will have to put my slinky, sparkly dress away.

08/16/09 10:26 PM #1857

Alice Day (Smith)

I'm wearing a simple slack suit Saturday night...that is short sleeves.

08/17/09 06:14 AM #1858

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

Oh, Dee Ann, please wear your slinky sparkler - you can be the Reunion Queen. I think we probably need one - we may need several. If I had something slinky in my closet, I would have to carry it in on its hanger as I sure would NOT put it on this postmenopausal bod. As usual, I'm just going to wear whatever is clean and fits and will cause the least amount of sweating - don't want the blue mascara to run. (pretty, huh?)

08/17/09 07:16 AM #1859

Mike Strickland

I don't have anything slinky or sparkly which goes with blue mascara.

Then you need to go shopping, Sweetie. But unless those biceps are pumped & shoulders are waxed, I advise against strapless.

It's difficult to match blue mascara. I have all kinds of fuchsia outfits.

Margaret Dubois (Ammons)

How about you, Dee?

Karen King (Perry)

Karen Perry

I vote for nice, dressy, but comfortable. It does not have to be formal but we will all be causal on Friday night and Sat. afternoon. (I am assuming) Although, as I say this I have nothing to wear Sat night.

It is interesting to read all the talk back and forth. I think some of us have too much time on our hands. tee hee.
