I wasn't there and was only told, so this isn't written in stone, but I was told Jack had an overhead crane fall on him while working at Crane Carrier Corp. not too long after graduating. I don't even know the year.Jack was a great friend and we had alot of laughs together. One thing I've really regretted over the years is I used to enjoy fighting for a hobby, and I sat and watched Jack and another friend get in a fight one time and just wanted to stay out of it because both guys were friends of mine. Jack asked me twice to help him and I didn't respond. All ended up fine in the long run but I still feel bad about the situation. Sorry again Jack, and truely enjoyed our freindship.

Although we weren't close friends, Jack and & I lived in the same part of town and we rode the bus to school... until we could get somebody else to pick us up or we all got cars, that is. I always enjoyed Jack's friendly, quick smile and sense of humor. I was expecting my son when Jack died and was discouraged from attending his funeral. He was a gentle soul and a blessing to many.

I was not close friends with Jack, but I remember him because of one incident. I've forgotten a few of the details, but there was some kind of verbal altercation going on, and Jack stepped in. He asked everybody to calm down and just let it go. He spoke with a tone of voice that was calm and respectful of everyone. He also had an air of confidence about him. It was very unusual to see that in a teenage boy. I remember later on thinking to myself: "That guy is going to be a leader some day. He's got a lot of potential."
