Donna Barbot

I met Bill McGowan during my residency and we have been together for 30 years/married 25. We have two daughters - Jenna, 21, senior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish & Willa 17, a senior at Harriton HS - majoring in fun!!! (something like her mother!!!)
We tore our house of 22 years down and built a "terminal home" moving back in last Octoboer. High toilets, drive-in showers, 1st floor master and an elevator to the wine cellar!!!!!

I spent two years at Brooklyn College and then transferred to Downstate College of Nursing and graduated in 1972. I worked for a few years as an ICU nurse and then went to Medical School - also at Downstate/graduated 1978. Spent 7 years at the Un of PA doing a Surgery residency. I spent 17 years at Jefferson Medical College, 3 years at Graduate Hospital and now I am back on the Penn faculty and working at a Penn affiliate - Chestnut Hill Hosp as the Chief of Surgery since 05
