Carolyn helping put the reunion together was so much fun but as my wife and I were printing up all the pictures and names together it really made us stop and reflect on these class mates and how some were taken so early. It did make us stop and recall something special about each one and that made it so special.

The "In Loving Memory" display at the 50th was beautiful. Our classmates who died too soon were honored. I grew up with many of them in Algonquin. They will be remembered always. A small group of classmates were able to attend the reunion and many others could not due to personal reasons. Hopefully we all have fond memories of our high school days together and keep each other close in our hearts.

When I first moved to San Diego, I used to feed a stray cat. One day she showed up with kittens. As the kittens were feeding the mother cat tried to eat also and the kittens would smack her in the face with their tiny paws as if to say; “not until we are done”. Well, the mother cat simply backed off, “I can wait till all of you are done eating”. That’s when the “light bulb” went on. The Lord put the best part of him/her self into creation, when he put the Mother instinct into creation, and that is “UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and UNDERSTANDING”.

For all you Ams alumni I continued the fight for our mascot. If you didn't know our mascot name was changed from Indians to Foxes so as not to hurt anyone feelings. Well the other night at the district track meet and everyone was yelling go foxes this old indiand was yelling go Indians. Few looks, few smiles and few high 5s. Some has to fight the fight.lol

Seldom in life has the fantasy of a vacation or event been exceeded by the real thing.  Last year's reunion was better than I could ever hope, and the fond memories linger on.  Again a big thank you to Pee Wee and EVERYONE who made it possible. !!

By the way, I ran into classmates, Carl Eichberger and Bill Sanders at a funeral last month (the things we do for a social life these days).  They are both alive and well.  In fact, Bill was there with his parents, and they are both alive and well !! Bill tells me he works in November and December at Cabello's in Hoffman Estates as Santa Claus.  If you saw him, you would not be surprised.  So go to Cabello's next month, sit on his lap, and tell him what you want.

Love to All !! --Joe B

Had a great time at the reunion, was glad that I made the trip. Not only is there individual karma, there is also “group karma”. A lot of us have been together before and will be together again. As the song goes; With A Little Help From My Friends”

It was a great time to connect with so many classmates.  Linda Hettinger and I have been meeting every so often for lunch which wouldn't of ha[ppended if not for the reunion.  Looking forward to our turning 71 party.

That is awesome !!  Wow so glad you two connected again. Post some pix.
Craig...  thanks for sharing your pic with Floyd too!  One of our wonderful peeps from Algonquin. Please keep posting when you meet up with folks again. Who knows if we will all be together again. We celebrated here in TN with a commemorative BONFIRE ðŸ”Ĩ ON the 1 year mark weekend following last years event for the 50th. Wow!  This year has flown by!!  Had a classmate drop by on a motorcycle trip thru Middle Tennessee & the Smokie Mountains.
