John MCGREW McGrew

I now live in Northern San Diego County California and I am CEO/President in a firm called "CCM" we are a Construction Management and Pre-construction Management and Professional Services Company in the Los Angeles CA. area. We managed projects in the past like Lego Land California, Paris Casino, MGM Grand Casino and the Wynn Casino all in Las Vegas.
After High School I moved to California and enrolled Merced College in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California, later transferring to UCLA in Westwood, CA. and completing my degree in Civil Engineering, BSCE. Later a BSCM from USC. We have 10 children which 8 are girls and 2 boys and we also have 34 grandchildren. We do travel a lot and like to catch at least one Hawkeye Football game each and every year in Iowa City. While there we stay in Cedar Rapids area since one of my daughters and her husband have a medical practice there. So we as a family attend all of their bowl games and have since 1975. We also are huge fans of the Arizona Cardinals Football Team and have had season tickets for more than 18 years now and attend every home game.
Looking back a few years of when I was transferred back to Cedar Rapids in 1988 and my firm was awarded the Construction Management contract on the Iowa State Molecular Biology Building. We spent 5 great years back in Cedar Rapids and my children loved the experience. And we still attend one game every year at the Kinnick Stadium, we are avid Hawkeye fans and go to every bowl game they play in. My children love the hospitality of the Iowa people as I always felt when visiting my old home town Cedar Rapids.

I finished my last year of High School at Atwater High School in Merced, CA.
This was due to my family was transferred to the Fresno, CA. area during my junior year at Washington. I then went to Merced College then onto UCLA and finally graduating in 1973 with a BSCE and later a BSCM degree from USC as well. I always will be partial to Washington High School fellow students after attending Cedar Rapids schools from grade school through my junior year.
