Jane Garth Elliott

After graduating from high school I went to Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina. I lived in Summerville, South Carolina from 1972 - 1984 where all three of my sons were born. I lived in Georgia from 1984 - 1999. I moved back to Virginia in 1999. I have worked as a Teller, Administrative Assistant and Caregiver. I retired in 2010. I married my boyfriend of 10 years, Robert Elliott, on February 14, 2012. My husband and I moved from Charlottesville to Heathsville, Virginia in December of 2021. I enjoy playing pickleball, playing mah-jongg and going out with friends.

I was very shy when I started Albemarle High School as a freshman in 1964. It was very hard for me to make friends. Eventually, when I was in 10th grade I started making more friends, and school was better. I never was a very good student. I felt very lucky when I passed each grade. I played basketball in 9th - 11th grades. I enjoyed playing, but I was usually sitting on the bench.
