Corky was just a good guy who was successful on so many levels. He lived the City High Spirit his whole life. You could say he spent a lot of time dealing with what Jim Henry used to call the "two percenters". Chattanooga was a better place for his efforts.
I was shocked to hear that Corkey passed away I am in New York working cant make it home but im sure sending my prayers to him and his family. He was the type that would bend over backwards to help anyone .ing

My heart hurts today for an old friend. Our paths haven't crossed very much over the past several years, but I still call him my friend. I have very special high school memories of Corky and a summer of so much fun we shared before he went away to school. He had a way with words that could really make you think and a sense of humor that could crack you up. Chattanooga will miss his service. My prayers go out for his wife, mother, and brother. I am so sorry for their loss and ours too.
Corky and I were in Homeroom together . That is went I got to know him . We became long time friends . When are friend Rad Ellis past away back in 2008 we had a memorial for Rad and a few days later we took his ashes up to Rad and Corky favorit fishing hole up in Telaco Plans . I miss both of you . Corky I was just a sophmore parking my car . When i got a migrain behind the eys and lost my eyesight, I just parked in the middle of the lane. You knocked on my window and got me to move over so you could park the car, You stayed with me and kept me calm till you could take me to the nurses room. You ask me about my black tags and said you were going to get you some one day, and you did just that. You were always very kind to the lost little sophmore. Our paths crossed through out the years and you remained a person I admired and respected. You left to soon.
Corky, Bob or Honorable Judge Moon, Everyone who knew you loved you. You were a fair and honest judge and made a difference in so many lives. Your life way too short. I never knew you wrote poems until after you passed and I wish you had published them so we could still enjoy your words. You'll never be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend. See you someday along with our other friends and family members rejoicing in Heaven.
I am grateful to have known Judge Moon since 2008. I knew of him before but got to know him at the Yellow Deli. I always appreciated his honesty, integrity and how he judged people for who they are and not from any outward appearance or what others said. He honored those who played a part in making him the person he became, most notably for me was his genuine respect for Gene Spriggs who was his guidance counselor at East Lake Junior High. He also had great respect for my wife, Dianna Horton, and was friends with her at City. All of us at the Yellow Deli sorely miss you, Bob and we hope all is well with your family.
