Carl “Ray” Towers
Carl “Ray” Towers, 74, passed away on October 12, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the city where he was born on January 11, 1950.
Ray was a skilled carpenter, a trade he dedicated many years to perfecting. A graduate of City High School in 1968, Ray was known for his love of playing pickleball and his passion for restoring old cars. He enjoyed camping and traveling to the beach. Ray was a devoted husband and father, deeply committed to his family and his faith. He was an active member of Red Bank Baptist Church, where he served and worshipped.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Towers and Laura Nell Clark.
Ray is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Garner; his children, Scott Towers (Kristin) and Ellen Adrienne Towers, Chris (Nicole) Garner and Kevin (Meredith) Garner; and grandchildren, David Michelle Pruett Jr., James Calvin Henry Pruett, Samuel Towers Pruett, Troy “Dayne” Grider, Ethan Lee Grider, Gunner Jax Towers, Christian Garner, Ethan Garner, Jake Garner, Jamie Garner, and Jonah Garner.
Ray will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, leaving behind a legacy of love and service

Ray was always so polite and nice at City with a great sense of humor .We had many classes together through the years at City. Ray and Bill were in the same homeroom. Rest In Peace. My condolences to his family.
