Joe Bill, I will miss you old pal. Though we lost touch over the years, you were a good friend and I hate knowing you're gone, but my heart trusts you "believed" and that you are with our Father. Rest in peace.

Joe Bill and I attended kindergarten together and played baseball together in Dixie Boy's league. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around...keeping things light and in the moment. I, too, suspect that Joe was prepared for his "future" as his parents, Joe and Jean, were fine folks and trained him early in the way he needed to go.

Joe Bill Stephens,

An absolutely great guy that I knew from early childhood.  Always a smile on his face and a "heh" for everybody.  Didn't matter who you were.  I echo what Jeff said. ---- Dynamos lost a good one. Rest in Peace Joe Bill.

Even though Joe Bill and I had lost touch with each other over the last several years I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing.  Joe Bill was fun to be around and we shared many good times together.  My sincere sympthy goes to Jean, Sue and his children.

Joe Bill, I noticed where Jeff Pogue had left a memorial for you on this site.  Now you're together with him in Heaven.  I remember you and Ronnie Campbell and the days at TN Tech in Cookeville.  You were always such a sweet and gentle giant to me and I'll never forget you.  I drive by your house each day and sometimes I catch a glimpse of your sweet mother outside.  I'll never forget the first time I met her when we were in high school and I was so taken back because you called your parents by their first names.  You had a good heart and kind spirit.  I know lots of folks miss you.  Rest in peace my friend.
